Week 4 – Pounding the streets for pounds
Posted by: admin in Emmas Blog on June 3rd, 2009
Sorry I missed an update last week, my ability to type after our 6.1 k (the point 1 is very important) was not good!
Despite our fears tho we all managed to get round the course, with only one stop so things are looking good for July. if you want to sponsor us you can do so on Justgiving- here is a link to Heather’s page.
If we get over £1000 maybe I will run with a baby strapped to my back? ! (not a real one I must add)

We had a taster this week of running in the heat – and I am really hoping that July 12th is a bad weather day! it was really tough.
Right – we have another training session tomorrow, and I think it is going to be our toughest yet. Wish us luck!
Pounding the streets for pounds!

On the 12 July a team of 8 of us will be pounding the streets of London to raise some pounds for Open Arms.
The Team stretches far and wide from Harrogate to Surrey. all of us with one goal (well maybe two) to raise lots of money – and actually to finish the 10k course that will take us around some of London’s best sights in the British 10K 2009.
Up North we have got together and joined a running club to keep us on track with the training. I will aim to update our progress each week, hopefully with news of how we are progressing!
today was week 3, and Richard (our personal trainer) had us running 6 k, which is apparently on track, and easy….
I am having trouble with the IT , but have a picture to show how sprightly we all look after running 3/4 of the way to our goal! – that was supposed to go here..
If you want to sponsor us watch this space; I’ll put up some links to our justgiving pages.
I’ll be back!
