Approximately 850,000 children under the age of 18 have been orphaned in Malawi.

Approximately 50% of these are due to Aids related deaths of one or both parents.

At Open Arms we provide a second chance in life for Malawi's orphans.

Our values revolve around the rights of a child to decent life expectations.

Many infants are sick or terminally ill on admission to Open Arms.

We believe they are entitled to to love, care and shelter.

Open Arms provides shelter, food, care, love and expert medical care and education to these children.

Open Arms receives no regular funding and is entirely dependent on the generosity of donors.

Open Arms Malawi is a registered charity in England and Wales, number 1090655. We are also registered in the United States of America Tax I.D. number 73-1692178 and in the coming year we fully expect to become a registered charity in Australia
