Karen Taylor took on the challenge of climbing the Yorkshire 3 peaks to raise money for Open Arms. After some battles with the weather in March and cancellations following heavy snow- a beautiful (yet chilly) spring day saw Karen complete the challenge in under 12 hours.
Karen was born and spent her first 6 years in Malawi. In July will return for the first time with her father and her 2 sisters. 2 of her children have visited Open Arms on a school trip with Ashville College.
Karen says “I am going back to Malawi in July with my Dad and Sisters and really wanted to take on this challenge to support Open Arms and the great work you do. We will visit Open Arms during our tour of Malawi and can’t wait!”
Karen has raised over £650 for Open Arms, that will help us to send 2 of our foster house children to school for a year!
