Working with Open Arms will not only bring you positive brand association and enhance your companies image, but it will also gives you a chance to demonstrate corporate social responsibility, motivate your staff and reach new markets.
Fundraising gives staff common goals, a sense of shared pride and increases team spirit. You can do anything from holding a bake sale or a dress down day, to entering a corporate challenge. You are only limited by your imagination. The more creative you are, the more you can raise!
Australian research company Micromex keep cool with their drinks canteen, receiving donations for each can of coke consumed, global investment company State Street‘s London office got casual for Open Arms on their Jeans day whilst Bosch are baking cakes to raise money for Open Arms!
Charity of the Year
Does your company have a Charity of the year or month Scheme? Why not nominate Open Arms. Legal eagles Mishcon de Reya chose us as our charity of the month and we received a lovely £250, enough to send one of the girls to school for 2 terms!
Did you know that you can donate to Open Arms out of your monthly salary and before tax? Payroll Giving is a flexible scheme which allows anyone who pays UK income tax to give regularly and on a tax free basis to the charities and good causes of their choice. It’s cheaper because its tax free – for example, a donation of £5 per month costs the basic rate tax payer £4.00 (the taxman pays the rest!)
Contact your HR department to see if your company has a payroll giving scheme, and if not, why not encourage one to be set up!
