After the huge success of our London quiz we will be hosting another one (albeit with different questions!) in the Balcony Bar at Harrogate Cricket Club on 15th June. There will be music, food, a raffle and the quiz of course. We’d love to see you there to support us. You can buy tickets now in our shop.
Swapping and shopping

Open Arms’ Golf Day is a firm favourite in our events calendar and this year is no exception. On the 6th October we’ll be hosting our Golf Day at Ilkley Golf Club, one of the finest Golf Clubs in Yorkshire both in terms of beauty and test to golf! This is always a popular event so get in touch about registering a team on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have been lucky enough to work with a dedicated team of volunteers to support our events. We would love to do more and so if you have a group of friends that would like to host or manage an event on our behalf please do get in touch we’d love to work with you.
On 20th April, some of our volunteers headed up a team of people to host a fundraising pub quiz at the Theodore Bullfrog in London. Featuring themes from London and Africa, the night bought together people supporting Open Arms Malawi.
The event was sold out and raised enough to cover the cost of a carer’s salary for a whole year at Open Arms. But just as importantly the event raised awareness of our work. The dedication and passion from our volunteer was fantastic to see. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved – you’ve set the bar very high for our next events!
The money we raise from these events goes to help all the children and families supported by Open Arms. Together, through the commitment, enthusiasm and energy of supporters like you we have a series of events that will give a much needed boost to our funds, but they also raise awareness among those who do not know about the many babies and children that find themselves without the basic care needed to survive in Malawi.
