Exhibition of Paintings by Clive Wilson

Open Arms is delighted to host this exhibition at Starling in Harrogate to raise funds for our work in Malawi.

Clive is a long-standing supporter of Open Arms and has visited our infant homes in Blantyre and Mangochi several times.  He got so involved in the country that he ended up working there over a period of many years – but that’s another story.

Clive began painting as a teenager, creating posters for local shops to advertise their products.

He migrated via oils to acrylics and mixed-media in the 1980s and more recently focused almost entirely on seascapes as a result of spending time with his wife Frances at their cottage on the Northumberland coast at Seahouses.

As well as Clive’s beautiful seascapes, the collection now includes several pictures of trees in testimony to Clive’s interest and passion in the climate emergency and future sustainability of our planet.
