60,000 determined and dedicated runners make the Great North Run the world’s biggest and best half marathon – famous for its warm North East welcome, unbeatable atmosphere and the millions raised for good causes.

Stretching over 13 miles, this iconic city to sea course starts in Newcastle and finishes in South Shields.
Complete with stunning views, charity buses, live music, BBC coverage and even the flying red arrows, this half marathon promises to be an absolutely unforgettable event!
The reward? Apart from the huge round of applause and deafening cheers as you cross the finish line, a shiny medal, exclusive finisher's T-shirt, goodie bag AND that overwhelming sense of achievement for accomplishing such an amazing physical challenge... you will be raising much needed funds for Open Arms and directly supporting vulnerable children in Malawi.
