Whilst at Open Arms she had the opportunity to join Mrs Phiri on an outreach visit….
"On the 13th August I spent a wonderful but tiring morning with Mrs Phiri on Outreach visiting children who came to Open Arms as babies and returned to their families as toddlers."
Alfred was only one month old when he was admitted to Open Arms after he lost is mother to Meningitis. His dad was left to care for 5 children.
With the costs of formula milk, and the demands of a newborn baby, he struggled to cope and called on the Social Welfare department for help. That is when he was brought to Open Arms.
Alfred now lives with his Aunt and Grandmother but his father is in a neighbouring village. Happily father is now able to provide for him and his siblings.
Alfred John is very well and happy in his home and testament to the hard work done by Open Arms, all made possible by you our loyal supporters."
