Many of our supporters enjoy being associated with the progress of an individual child that has left our care.
A scheme that we call the Cash Transfer, ensures that the carer of the chosen child receives a monthly allowance.
On a prescribed day the guardian and the child arrive at the door of Open Arms Blantyre and Mangochi. This allows Matron to observe the child and to make recommendations where necessary.
The child in the picture is Tina, her mother has been mentally unstable and we lost contact with them both for several months. Happily, they are now part of the scheme again. In all, 35 children benefit from this programme.
