Travelzoo Celebrates 10 Years in Europe with London to Paris Fundraising Bike Ride

Travelzoo, the world’s top provider of travel and leisure deals, announced today it would mark ‘turning 10’ in Europe with a team bike ride from London to Paris. As well as marking the company milestone, this event will also raise money for Travelzoo’s global charity Open Arms Malawi.

A group of 16 employees from Travelzoo’s European team will undertake the 3-day 265km challenge, on 4 June from Travelzoo’s European headquarters on Shaftesbury Avenue in London.

The team hopes to raise at least £10,000 for Open Arms Malawi – a charity that provides help and support to Malawi’s orphans and terminally ill children. Malawi has over one million orphans, of which over 65% have lost their parents to AIDS. Travelzoo’s CEO Chris Loughlin made Open Arms the company’s official charity in 2014 when a team of Travelzoo’s staff from around the world helped build an IT room for the children at the orphanage.

Richard Singer, Travelzoo Europe’s managing director and chief organiser of the bike ride said, “Ten years in Europe is a reason to celebrate.  We have had a decade of huge success in the region and globally.  We just published our two millionth deal and reached an audience of more than two million on Facebook.  The brand continues to become known as the trusted source for inspiring travel experiences and unbeatable deals.  We can’t wait to head off on our London-to-Paris adventure to mark 10 years of both hard work and enormous fun.”
