Join us in our first ever virtual fundraising event this April!

In the world of lockdown, walking has become a favourite pastime for so many. To mark the Easter season and hopefully a return to some better weather, we’re inviting you to sign up for what promises to be a walk like no other! Register your interest today and you can join as an individual or as part of a bigger team. Together we want to walk all the way to Malawi from April to June.

A big challenge

In total, the fundraising walk will be c. 13,000km – the distance from our UK office in Harrogate to our headquarters in Blantyre, Malawi.

You can join the walk for any distance and track your progress on the map as you clock your kilometres in real life. To remind you and your supporters of how your fundraising is paying off, you will encounter milestones along the way. At each milestone, you will be able to discover information about the our work and learn a bit about Malawi, celebrating our 20 years of work with vulnerable children in Malawi.

The fundraising goal

We have high hopes for our first virtual fundraising event and we have made the walk specific to the work of our team in Malawi to inspire you to lend us your feet. With c. 13,000km, we need all the help we can get!

You can walk 3 miles or 3,000 miles every contribution is welcome!

Through fundraising as we go our goal is to raise enough funds to fund the entire food and medical costs of our Mangochi infant home for the next 6 months. These early medical and nutritional interventions are crucial and help to save lives so please grab your shoes and let’s get there together!
