The end of another year at Open Arms is fast approaching. An eventful year with many more ups than downs. The Homes continue to thrive with the increasing good-will that we receive from around the globe. The important and major contribution that the Harrogate fundraising office is making to the operation is something we are very aware of and grateful for.

On May 2, groups of volunteers from Johnson & Johnson EMEA (Europe Middle East & Africa) traveled from Europe to Malawi to help rebuild houses that were destroyed in floods.

Just 800m from Open Arms Mangochi is Nansenga. Nansenga is a very poor village, with most of its inhabitants depending on fishing on nearby Lake Malawi.

Gladys and Adidya, live in Nansenga village. As babies they were cared for by Open Arms Mangochi. They have “graduated” from Open Arms and returned to their extended family in the village.
