Earlier this month Natalie Rispoli ran the London Marathon and raised an amazing £1,317 (so far) for Open Arms Malawi! A big thank you from all of the team!
One of our first volunteers for the year is Eller Everett, a former student of Queen Elizabeth School of Kirby Lonsdale who have strong links with Tsekwe House.
On 26th September more than 700 pupils from the Ashville Junior and Senior Schools completed a 20k fundraising walk for Open Arms Malawi and Action for Children.
On 2 March 2013, 318 guests gathered at the Majestic Hotel Harrogate to celebrate the work of Open Arms Malawi, and helped to raise a fantastic £40,429 !
On 27th December Harrogate rugby club put on a charity match extravaganza with a battle between the Under 35’s v Over 35’s, the youngsters victorious in a 43 v 15 (estimated!) final score.
Today is world AIDS day to raise awareness of the illness and to support those people affected by the disease. At Open Arms Infant Homes in Malawi, it’s a reminder of the plight the illness causes. 11% of Malawians are HIV+.
