Once a child has moved into the third phase of care offered by Open Arms, one of the foster homes, they will begin going to school and making new friends in the community.
I had the opportunity to fly to Blantyre this spring for a week to learn about the happenings at Open Arms, photograph the people and events, and most importantly, snuggle with the babies.
Back at the end of May we returned the first child to his family for the year 2013. Dziwani Swazi went to stay with his Grandmother in the nearby township of Mbayani.
